What CCV believes, and what it has done
Every human life is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity from conception to natural death. Center for Christian Virtue resolutely defends the unborn, elderly, disabled, and vulnerable.
Enacting the Heartbeat Bill
CCV was a primary architect and relentless advocate for Ohio’s Heartbeat Bill, signed into law by Governor Mike DeWine, protecting unborn children from the moment a fetal heartbeat is detected.
Opposing Abortion Up to Birth
CCV co-led the statewide "Vote No" campaign, marshaling millions of dollars and mobilizing thousands of churches to fiercely oppose the constitutional amendment that established a right to late-term abortion.
Regulating Chemical Abortions
CCV has provided vital testimony to the Ohio House Health Committee for legislation restricting dangerous chemical abortion pills and preventing abortion providers from receiving Medicaid dollars.
Supporting Pregnancy Centers
CCV actively advocates for state funding in the biennial budget to support pregnancy resource centers, provide ultrasounds, and strengthen vulnerable mothers and families.
Where the law stands in Ohio.
CCV tracks every bill that touches this issue as it moves: through committee, onto the floor and to the governor’s desk. Featured Ohio bills live in the For Buckeyes area, and older Ohio content on this issue stays searchable in the archive.
CCV supported the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act through the Ohio Senate in 2025.
Ohio is our proving ground, but America is our mission.
CCV builds, tests and wins state-level battles at home, then scales what works, exporting successful models and deploying resources to state-based allies across the country.
